Hi all, just was wondering how close is Erbil to all the fighting now going on in Iraq..that I believe is the modern name for Gaugamela right?

Hi All, I read an article in NY Times that an American based Alexander the Great foundation out of Chicago, is going to carve a likeness of ATG 240 feet high (73 meters)high built into a Greek mountain! Hey Nick, that's a great idea I would like to go back to June 323 to see if ATG was poisoned or died of the mosquito bite. if he were poisoned who, when, and why? I think we all would be shockingly suprised!All the best,George

yes, in Michael Woods Book " In the footsteps of Alexander the Great' he shows photos of the Kalash dancing in Greek ceremonial dress.and points out the Greek facial profiles among them.these profiles are also seen through out Afghanistan, and even in countries north of Afghanistan! I guess 11 ...

Hi, I don't know that Olympias played any role in those affairs, however she did lead an army out of Epirus to Macedonia to reclaim it in the name of her son, in full armor she went against the Macedonians who could have killed her and her army, but they threw down their arms at the sight of the ban...

Hi all, got to thinking about the non conqueror side of Alexander, that is to say ..what did they or he do for enterainment? yes I know they loved to eat, drink, and he played the lyre, but what of dance, did they have a band at these weddings and parties ?.Was there dancing?

Hi all, I know the two knew each other from child hood,but was it a one sided affair? How could H spurn A if he wanted to, him being king and all?
What proof do we have to really prove H's love for the King.

hi all , if indeed we have a choice to pick who and what we might be in a reincarnation senario...then was Alexander's pick as king of the world an easy one? Or one that stressed and caused great sacrifice, for him. Then if he willingly made that pick, to be wounded 23 times, suffer unimageable hard...
