Re: Bettany Hughes - Bulgaria
Apparently tonight's episode (7 pm Channel 4) features the "birthplace of Alexander the Great" Aigai, to see artifacts that are being restored. Should be worth seeing.

Bettany Hughes - Bulgaria
The latest episode of Bettany Hughes' 'Treasure of the World' concentrated on Bulgaria ie the Thracians, and it was most interesting. I confess I have tended to regard the Thracians in the same way the Greeks seem to have regarded them - as barbarians - meaning with the modern connotation of uncivil...

Re: Netflix’s Alexander..
I haven't seen it, but it seems to have provoked quite a bit of Alexander interest as there is quite a bit of activity over on AO3 (Archive of Our Own fan fiction). It is the 20th anniversary of Stone's movie later this year and I was hoping to do something in the forum to mark it. Yes, there is a s...

Re: Pothos now inherited by Alexias and on a new server.
Ah, thanks! Yes, I have been an Alexander fan since I first read Mary Renault. but until the internet came along the only sources of information were the local library and, later, the occasional books I could find and buy. I have learnt so much since the internet came along!

Heckel's Who's Who, which you can downlo...

Re: New pages
Certainly will, thank you. I'm playing about with some add-on modules to the board at the moment to enhance what options are available.
